Bandwidth Part (BWP)

Bandwidth Part is a configuration framework provided by 3GPP to be the container for nearly all L1 configuration flexibilities.

This is an innovation in 5G.

For LTE, to do frequency allocation, UEs need to decode the whole bandwidth, but in 5G, we just use BWP so it’s faster.
