  • This is professional racing driver Oliver Webb full sending a Mclaren Artura at 200 miles an hour at the circuit of Navarra, but you might notice this is not quite a McLaren, it’s got this huge sensor rack on top.

We can precisely track where

And the reason we have this is, we need to go back 2 months, when I joined the autonmous racing team.

We’re going to Spain to create.

I joint the code19 team, which is a professional racing team participating in A2RL, where we’re going to be competing at Abu Dhabi against 8(?) other teams. show b-roll of footage

And our goal is to take the podium. So if you want to follow the journey.

We have access to a McLaren car.

We don’t have access to a mclaren car, but we’re going to Abu Dhabi.

I’ve exchanged texts with team, but I never met them, so I’m super excited to finally meet some of them in-person.

Explaining the sensor rack (motivation through localization)

One of the things we’ve been struggling a lot is getting the car to localize a well. If you’ve seen my previous RC car videos, so it’s the same problems

Purely relying on GPS is not good enough. So these tracks, we want to test things.
