Cornering Stiffness
The cornering stiffness of a tire tells us about the grip capability of a tyre in the lateral sense.
This is expressed as the force generated per degree of Slip Angle (N/°).
- A tyre with a higher cornering stiffness will produce a greater lateral acceleration and this is a key performance measure of any tyre.
