Fallacy

Fallacy Fallacy

Concluding that the truth value of an argument is false based on the fact that the argument contains a fallacy.

This is a fallacy, therefore your argument is WRONG.

Recognizing that Amanda had committed a fallacy in arguing that we should eat healthy food because a nutritionist said it was popular, Alyse said we should therefore eat bacon double cheeseburgers every day.

Just because a conclusion has been poorly argued for, it does not mean that the conclusion is false. The conclusion of a fallacious argument can still be true; we just can’t get there with the fallacious argument.
