Frame:
- “ a way in which experience is organized conceptually”
- “Movements’ goals have to make sense to people” in order to get them to join
3 Kinds of Frames:
- Diagnostic Framing: problem is black or white (no grey, or middle ground)
- Prognostic Framing: “offers a solution”
- Motivational Framing: “call to action”
Frame Alignment: several groups share goals and join together (ex. Social justice)
- Bridging
- Amplification
- Extension
- Transformation
