- 红谷滩 Honggutan: new city / CBD / riverside night views (Qiushui Square area is here).
- 东湖 Donghu: classic central area; many “old Nanchang” sights cluster near here.
- 西湖 Xihu: also central/old city; transport hubs + dense city life.
- 青云谱 Qingyunpu: more residential/industry mix; some cultural spots are here.
- 青山湖 Qingshanhu: larger district; lakes + universities/tech/residential areas.
- 新建 Xinjian: big outer district to the west/northwest—more suburban/rural spread.
- 南昌县 / 安义 / 进贤 (counties): more “outside the core city,” often for day trips / countryside
