Number Sets

$\mathbb{N}⊊\mathbb{Z}⊊\mathbb{Q}⊊\mathbb{R}⊊\mathbb{C}$ We started with natural number, denoted $\mathbb{N}$. Then, we realized that there are negative numbers, so we used $\mathbb{Z}$. The rational numbers $\mathbb{Q}$ because we sometimes shared things, such as 1/4 of a cow to eat.

However, there existed some numbers that couldn’t be represented, such as the solution to $x^2=2$, so we can up with $\mathbb{R}$. That still wasn’t enough, so we came up with $\mathbb{C}$ to include solutions of equations like $x^2=-1$.
