Research Taste

I’ve started to ask people how they have developed their taste in research. This taste is slightly orthogonal of the taste that is required for good youtube videos.

Criteria:

• Good if they present some interesting novel ideas that are useful to me
• This paper is good if the results can easily be replicated, i.e. works when I try it

For example:

• RoboPianist is really good for a youtube video, but pretty lame as a research project
