The version of you across times

  • There’s a similar idea that comes from Bryan Johnson who talks about different versions of him.

As I try to build new habits across time, there are things that I tell myself that I forget.

You see, the things you think about changes across time. So it becomes extremely easy to forget what you were thinking about, and get new habits in place. For example, I tell myself every night that I should stop scrolling my phone and wake up early at 7am so I can go running,

However, I never execute on it because I usually tell myself that during the morning, and when it comes to nighttime, I kind of forget about sleep cycle and the things that I tell myself in the morning.

That’s why writing things down is so important, because your writing can persist across time.

So some ways to make the final version that you want of yourelf persist across time

Write it on your ipad, or on the wall as a piece of paper

For me, it starts with:

  • Actually setting sleep cycle as the alarm
    • There are shortcuts that you can start in your phone, it’s so convenient
