Time Lapse

To shoot time lapses, here are some general guidelines.

Frequency of shots

General rule, the more things move, the higher the frequency of shots.

Hyperlapse (1 shot per second) → when POV moves very fast 2-4 seconds when there are a lots of things moving around, like cars and people

every 5 seconds Landscape, movement of clouds 1 shot

Sunset to sunrise - 4-8 seconds

Shutter Speed

Apply the 180 degree rule. 1 second shutter speed for 2s frequency 1.5ss for 3s frequency 2ss for 4 seconds etc.

Since the shutter speed are so low, you will need ND Filters most of the time because there willl be a lot of light coming in.
