The three pillars of WHOOP are Recovery (how ready your body is to perform from 0-100%), Strain (cardiovascular exertion on a 0-21 scale), and Sleep.

Strain
- How Does WHOOP Strain Work? (Whoop 101)
So what if you take on more strain than what Whoop is recommending?
- You are then “overtraining”. More likely to get injured.
Okay, the fundmental question is how it determines these numbers?
- Recovery is determined looking at things like HRV
- Sleep is determined by measuring deep sleep, REM sleep, etc.
- Strain is determined by how your heart rate is throughout the day
If you are always training hard, you are not giving time for your body to recover.
- I personally don’t think I will suffer from this lol.. I am going to suffer from not putting my body through enough strain.
