Bipolar Disorder

The proper term for describing abnormal deviations to mood in both directions (too high and too low) is bipolar disorder. You might think that bipolar disorder would be classified as a mood disorder (similar to depression) and up to DSM IV, you would be right.

So if my Mood Swings get too bad, I will be classified as Bipolar.
