Right hemisphere processes visual and spatial information → Enables you to grasp the “big picture”
Left hemisphere is more adept at details, categories and linearly arranged information such as language
The cortex is divided into two hemispheres, and each hemisphere is further divided into four lobes:
- Frontal lobe
- Parietal (middle) lobe
- Temporal (side) lobe
- Occipital lobe

Complexity in the structure of the nervous system, both at the macro- and micro-levels, give rise to complex behaviors. We can observe similar movements of the limbs, as in nonverbal communication, in apes and humans, but the variety and intricacy of nonverbal behaviors using hands in humans surpasses apes.
