Data is the new oil
I think a lot of the improvements in Machine Learning is with better datasets (at least when you look at application).
It’s both the quantity and quality of the dataset.
The industries where it is difficult is for example, Autonomous Racing.
self-driving cars are working well because they use supervised techniques, and there exists data. This was much harder before.
Classical control is getting replaced by learning-based methods.

But learning-based methods don’t work well.
