Electricity
The study of electricity took a scientific turn in the eighteenth century especially with the experiments Benjamin Franklin did on Benjamin Franklin did on [[notes/Electric Charge#History|Electric Charge#History]].
There were two courses at Waterloo where I learned about electricity:
- Electricity and Magnetism (ECE106)
- Linear Circuits (ECE140)
However, I still don’t feel like I have a good understanding of how electricity works. Here are some crucial concepts:
I think this video is a really good explanation of how it works at home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJeRabV5hNU&ab_channel=TheEngineeringMindset
The playlist by Engineering Mindset makes it pretty intuitive:
However, I still believe in Hands-On Learning. These Engineering Mindset videos are good visually, but I want to see these formalized in equations, expressed rigorously. I want to see Mathematics.
