Hardware Trigger

I learned this at NVIDIA.

This is a wire that you physically connect to all the sensors, so that you can make sure that all the sensors are capturing things at the same time.

Why aren't hardware triggers the default?

Hardware time sync solutions often require more complex setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

In contrast, PTP and PPS signals are easier to set up → Just connect your ethernet cables. It’s more of a software problem than a hardware problem.
