Hemispatial Neglect
Hemispatial neglect is an attention disorder where a patient ignores one side of space, not from sensory loss but because attention doesn’t go there.
Info
Often caused by right parietal damage, leading to neglect of the left side.
Example
The patient draws only the right half of a clock, or only eats food from the right side of the plate, and genuinely doesn’t notice anything’s missing.
