Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT)
Composed of three layers: Emitter (E), Base (B), and Collector (C).
Has two major types:
- NPN (most common): Majority carriers are electrons
- PNP: Majority carriers are holes.
Used in amplification, switching, and signal processing.
