Broca’s Area

Broca’s area is a region in the frontal lobe (left hemisphere) associated with speech production. Named after Paul Broca.

Damage

Causes Broca’s Aphasia: speech production is impaired (halting, agrammatic) but comprehension stays relatively intact.
