The full equation of the electric force is given by Coulomb’s Law. Or, we can write the force in terms of the charge and Coulomb’s Law. Or, we can write the force in terms of the charge and Electric Field ${\vec{F}}_E=q\vec{E}$

Direction of the force: depends on the charge

• positive charge → the force will be in the direction of the magnetic field.
• negative charge → the force will be opposite to the direction of the magnetic field.
