User Datagram Protocol (UDP)
User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is one of the two Transport Layer protocols used for the Internet, the other one being TCP.
UDP is unreliable
UDP is connectionless
With UDP there is no handshaking between sending and receiving transport-layer entities before sending a segment. For this reason, UDP is said to be connectionless.
